In the 152 year old history of Indian Cotton Mills Industry there have been a number of booms, depressions, famines and pestilences. There are many instances of Mill Companies which have had to reconstruct their capital by writing off the losses suffered by them, deny their shareholders a return on their investments for long stretches of years and changes their management for their survival. However, by the Grace of God, Hindoostan Mills has been lucky to escape such serious set-backs. It is one of the few fortunate 100-year old Mills which have grown, prospered and emerged strong and stable, unscathed by ravages of time. A unique feature in the history of this company is that the descendants who started the company, are still connected with the company today even after a hundred years.
